Where SUS Parts to JIS Drawings Go, and Where We Say No

The sector matters less than the grade, the tolerance and the paperwork behind it. These are the six where the combination fits what the network runs, and the three where it does not. Your part is assessed on its drawing, not on the industry it belongs to.

Work we decline

A supplier that says yes to everything is telling you something. These are ours, in public.

  • Implantable medical devicesWe would not be a good supplier for them even if we took the order, so we do not.
  • Aerospace structural and anything under AS9100 or ITARNo approval, no order. Say it early and we save you a week.
  • Consumer cosmetic partsAppearance standards that live in a sample rather than on a drawing are a poor fit for an order managed at a distance.

Not sure which side your part falls on?

Send the drawing with a line about the application. You get a straight answerwithin 24 business hours, and if the answer is that this is not the right supplier we say so instead of quoting it.
